Idiom/Saying Explanation
Autumn years.

For example:-

I don’t like to think I’m getting old. I prefer to think I’m entering the autumn years.

The later years of a person’s life.
Spring fever.

For example:-

The students couldn’t pay any attention to what I was saying. They were obviously suffering from spring fever.

To feel restless.

(It is thought to be a physiological and psychological shift in the body’s response to changing seasons.)

Full of the joys of spring.

For example:-

The sun was shining, and even though it was October, I was full of the joys of spring.

To feel very happy and full of youthful energy.
An Indian summer

For example:-

The summer was really bad this year, so I’m hoping for an Indian summer.

A period of warm weather which sometimes happens in early autumn

One swallow doesn’t make a summer

For example:-

After I passed my first exam, my teacher reminded me to keep on working hard. After all, one swallow doesn’t make a summer.

Something that you say which means because one good thing has happened, you cannot be certain that more good things will happen.
The dead of winter.

For example:-

He disappeared in the dead of winter: The river was frozen, the streets almost deserted.

Used to describe the middle of winter, when it is very cold and dark.
